Descendants of Joshua Healey and Rizpah Pincin




 The Healey line is one I have not looked at for awhile.  I have a lot of data on this family, but am only confident of what I have shared below.  Once I do further research, I will take the line back further.  I have unverified information back several generations.  And some indication that the line of Rizpah Pincin goes to the Mayflower.  I have attempted to delete all living individuals.  This is just an outline and I am happy to share additional info with other researchers.
 
Generation One

     1.  Joshua1 Healey.
Joshua Healey was born on 11 October 1772 at Chesterfield, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts.
He married Rizpah Pincin, daughter of John Pincin and Judith Pinchin, on 29 December 1791 at Chesterfield, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts.
     Children of Joshua1 Healey and Rizpah Pincin were as follows:
                     2       i.    Judith2 Healey.
Judith Healey was born on 2 October 1792 at Shoreham Twp., Addison Co., Vermont.
She married John Fisher on 2 May 1815 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. An entry dated 2 May 1815, from Marriages, 1815, Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada, read:  "John Fisher of Montreal, shoemaker and Judith Haley of the same place spinster both of the age of majority who joined in marriage by License from his Excellency Sir Gordon Drummond knight commander of the most honorable and military order of the bath administration in chief of the government of the province of Upper and Lower Canada &, &, &, at Montreal this second day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifteen in the presence of these witnesses:  by J. Somerville, minister; John Fisher   Judith Haley   Daniel Fisher   Joshua Haley   William Hutchison."
Judith Healey died on 19 February 1838 at Quebec, Canada, at age 45.
Judith Healey was buried on 21 February 1838 at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Quebec, Canada.
                     3      ii.    Elvira Healey.
Elvira Healey was born in 1794.
She married John Hilton on 21 December 1816 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  An entry dated 21 December 1816, from Marriages, 1816, Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada, reads:  "John Hilton of Montreal, cabinet maker aged about twenty four years and Elvira Haley of the same place spinster aged about 22 years were joined in marriage by License... at Montreal this twenty first day of December one thousand eight hundred and sixteen in the presence of these witnesses:  by J. Somerville, minister; John Hilton   Elvira Haley   Joshua Healey   John Torrance  William Hutchison."
Elvira Healey died on 3 September 1868 at Canada. She was buried on 5 September 1868 at Montreal, Canada.  The Montreal parish records of September 1868 read:  "Elvira Healey widow of the late John Hilton, died on the third day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight and was buried on the fifth day of the same month and year by me - G. Willoughby     In the presence of:  J.? Edward Hilton."
                     4     iii.    Orpah Healey.
Orpah Healey was born on 5 July 1796 at Shoreham, Vermont.
She married Martin Ray on 4 September 1833 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
Orpah Healey died on 20 April 1866 at Quebec, Canada, at age 69. Cause of death is given as cancer.
Orpah Healey was buried on 23 April 1866 at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Quebec, Canada.

Orsen Valentine Healey was born on 13 June 1798 at Shoreham, Vermont.
He married Jane Bromley before March 1817.

Olinda Healey was born on 2 February 1800 at Shoreham, Vermont.
Olinda Healey married John Dodd Barnett, son of John Barnett and Ann (--?--), on 16 May 1818 at St. James Street Church, Montreal, Canada.  The marriage record from the St. James Street Church, Montreal, reads:  "On the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen John Barnett of the city of Montreal joiner son of John Barnett of Clapham, England and Ann his wife, and Olinda Healey of the city of Montreal spinster daughter of Joshua Healey of the same place and of Rixpath Pinchin his wife, were married by License By me R.L. Lusher, minister
In the presence of Charles Try of the city of Montreal and John Hilton of the same place who have hereunto signed their names.

Clarissa Healey was born on 23 August 1802 at St. Albans, Vermont.
                +   8    vii.    Sylvester Forbes Healey
Sylvester Forbes Healey was born circa 1806 at St. Abans, Franklin Co., Vermont.
He married Rosa H. Hall on 19 February 1830 at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their marriage license/marriage record was issued in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and reads: "Sylvester Healey of the Township of Hinchinbrook farmer, a bachlor [sic], and Rosannah Hall of the City of Montreal Spinster, both of the age of majority were joined in marriage at Montreal, (by license) on this nineteenth of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty by Edw. Black, Min.  (Signed)  Sylvester Healey      Rosanna Hall      John Hilton     Abner P. Healey     John Minshall    William Cochrane." He died on 7 January 1884 at the home of Dr. Caleb Scott, Liberty Township, White Co., Indiana,; cause of death was pleurisy.
Sylvester Forbes Healey was buried at Warden Cemetery, Liberty Twp, White Co., Indiana.
                     9   viii.    Emily Healey.
Emily Healey was born circa May 1809 at Vermont.
Emily Healey died on 14 July 1810 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, The entry in the church records at Gabriel Street Presbyterian reads, "Emily Healy aged from fourteen months, daughter of Joshua Healy of Montreal labourer and Rispa Pinchin his wife died on the fourteenth instant and was buried this fiftenth day of July one thousand eight hundred & ten in presence of these witnesses. J. Somerville minister Newpeland John McArthur."
Emily Healey was buried on 15 July 1810 at Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
                   10     ix.    Abner Pinchin Healey.
Abner Pinchin Healey was born circa 1810 at Franklin Co., Vermont.
He married Sarah A. Stout on 20 June 1838 at Cass Co., Indiana.

John Russell Healey was born on 26 July 1812 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
He married Sarah Jamieson (--?--) on 24 April 1834 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Quebec, Canada.
John Russell Healey died on 14 July 1891 at Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, at age 78.

Maria Healey was born on 6 October 1815 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Maria Healey died on 27 August 1816 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, The church entry reads:  "Maria aged nearly eleven months oldest daughter of three at a birth of Joshua Healy of Montreal trader & Hirpah Pinchin his wife died on the twenty seventh instant & was buried this twenty eight day of August one thousand eight hundred & sixteen in presence of these witnesses. By J Somerville minister John Fisher Joshua Healy."
Maria Healey was buried on 28 August 1816 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
                   13    xii.    Harriet Healey.
Harriet Healey was born on 6 October 1815 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Harriet Healey died on 24 October 1815 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, The church record states: "Harriet Healy aged about three weeks the youngest daughter of three at one birth of Joshua Healy of Montreal trader & Hirpah Pinchin his wife died on  the twenty fourth instant & was buried this twenty fifth day of October one thousand eight hundred & fifteen in presence of these witnesses. By J Somerville minister Joshua Healy O. V. Healey."
Harriet Healey was buried on 25 October 1815 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
                   14   xiii.    Eliza Healey.
Eliza Healey was born on 6 October 1815 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Eliza Healey died on 3 September 1816 at Montreal, Canada.
Eliza Healey was buried on 4 September 1816 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada.

Generation Two

     5.  Orsen Valentine2 Healey (Joshua1).
Orsen Valentine Healey was born on 13 May 1798 at Vermont.
He married Jane Bromley before March 1817.    
Orsen Valentine Healey witnessed the burial of Harriet Healey on 25 October 1815 at Gabriel Street Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He witnessed the burial of Joshua Healy on 18 March 1818 at Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada. The 1818 Burial Records of the Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada, read: "Joshua Healy aged about two weeks son of Orson V? Healey of Montreal, merchant and Jane Bromley his wife, died on the seventeenth instant & was buried this eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen in presence of these witnesses:  J. Somerville, minister, Orson ? Healey,  John Hilton."
     Children of Orsen Valentine2 Healey and Jane Bromley were:

Joshua Healy died on 17 March 1818 at Montreal, Canada. He was buried on 18 March 1818 at Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada. The 1818 Burial Records of the Gabriel St. Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Canada, read: "Joshua Healy aged about two weeks son of Orson V? Healey of Montreal, merchant and Jane Bromley his wife, died on the seventeenth instant & was buried this eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen in presence of these witnesses:  J. Somerville, minister, Orson ? Healey,  John Hilton."

     6.  Olinda2 Healey (Joshua1).
Olinda Healey was born on 2 February 1800 at Shoreham, Vermont.
Olinda Healey married John Dodd Barnett, son of John Barnett and Ann (--?--), on 16 May 1818 at St. James Street Church, Montreal, Canada.  The marriage record from the St. James Street Church, Montreal, reads:  "On the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen John Barnett of the city of Montreal joiner son of John Barnett of Clapham, England and Ann his wife, and Olinda Healey of the city of Montreal spinster daughter of Joshua Healey of the same place and of Rixpath Pinchin his wife, were married by License By me R.L. Lusher, minister
In the presence of Charles Try of the city of Montreal and John Hilton of the same place who have hereunto signed their names.

     8.  Sylvester Forbes2 Healey (Joshua1).
Sylvester Forbes Healey was born circa 1806 at St. Abans, Franklin Co., Vermont.
He married Rosa H. Hall on 19 February 1830 at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Elizabeth F. Healey died on 1 December 1905 at Burnettesville, White Co., Indiana, at age 74.
Elizabeth F. Healey was buried at Warden Cemetery, Liberty Twp, White Co., Indiana.
              +   18      ii.    Charles Stout Healey was born on 1 September 1840.  The birthplace may have been at Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada, or it may have been Trout River, Newfoundland, Canada. He married Mary Dixon Parburt, daughter of George Parburt and Frances (--?--), on 11 August 1870 at San Francisco, California.
Charles Stout Healey died on 18 December 1903 at 219 Cole St., San Francisco, California, at age 63.
                   19     iii.    Captain Henry Sylvester Healey.
Captain Henry Sylvester Healey was born on 18 December 1835 at probably Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada.
He died on 23 January 1898 at San Francisco, California, at age 62 of pneumonia.
Captain Henry Sylvester Healey was buried on 26 January 1898 at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo Co., California.
              +   20     iv.    Joshua Healey was born on 18 November 1838 at Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada. One source gives birth as 18 November 1837 in "Bauhanraus" County, Canada.  Other sources give his birth as 18 November 1838 in Henchingbrook, Quebec, Canada.  Hinchinbrooke is located about 40 miles from Montreal.  Beauharnois is also near Montreal.  Yet another source says he was born in "Canada East."
Joshua Healey married Julia Ann Howland, daughter of Joseph Allen Howland and Mary Taylor, on 23 February 1864 at Delphi, Carroll Co., Indiana. The Howland Bible contains this entry, "Julia Ann Howland my Second daughter was married [unreadable] Healy February 23 AD 1864."  They were married by Rev J. W.  Green of the ME Church. He died on 2 January 1880 at Goodland, Newton Co., Indiana, at age 41. The cause of death was diabetes.  It was said that he "died after only a brief severe illness." He was buried at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, Jasper Co., Indiana. The burial was recorded in Book 2, p 87.  He was buried in Sec D, Bl 50, Lot 2, Sp 5.  This lot was owned by Julia Healey.
                   21      v.    Abner Healey.
Abner Healey was born circa 1842 at probably Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada.
He died on 17 January 1863 at La Vergne, near Murfressboro, Rutherford Co., Tennessee, of a wound received at the Battle of Stone River during the Civil War.
Abner Healey was buried at Stones River National Military Cemetery, Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., Tennessee.
              +   22     vi.    Harriet Darling Healey
Harriet Darling Healey was born on 2 September 1844 at probably Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada.
She married Reuben A. Scott, son of Alexander Scott and Unity R. Watt, circa 1861 at White Co., Indiana.
Harriet Darling Scott died on 23 March 1866 at White Co., Indiana, at age 21.
Harriet Darling Scott was buried at Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville, Cass Co., Indiana.

John Russell Healey was born on 26 July 1812 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
He married Sarah Jamieson (--?--) on 24 April 1834 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Quebec, Canada.
John Russell Healey died on 14 July 1891 at Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, at age 78.
     He witnessed the marriage of Orpah Healey and Martin Ray on 4 September 1833 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

Douglas Healey died on 2 September 1841.

John Charles Barnett was born on 6 April 1819 at Montreal, Canada.
He married Jane Kierstead.

                   35     iii.    Charles Morton Scott was born on 29 October 1864. Another possible birth date is 1863. He died on 9 September 1865 at White Co., Indiana; he was 11 months old at the time of his death.

Clare Unity Scott was born on 27 August 1865.
Clare Unity Scott died on 5 September 1871 at age 6.
Clare Unity Scott was buried at Warden Cemetery, White Co., Indiana.
                   37      v.    Florence Grace Scott.
Florence Grace Scott was born on 29 May 1868.
She married Marion A. Churchill on 16 March 1897 at Monticello, White Co., Indiana.
Florence Grace Scott died on 7 August 1911 at Little Falls, Minnesota, at age 43.

Mary Rose Scott was born on 24 November 1868.
She married Perry Burget on 6 April 1889 at White Co., Indiana.
Mary Rose Scott died on 30 October 1948 at age 79.
                   39    vii.    Celesta Viola Scott was born on 18 August 1869. A possible alternative birth date is 18 September 1869. She married Bert Frank Bunnell on 2 June 1893 at Monticello, White Co., Indiana.
Celesta Viola Scott died on 6 February 1943 at Seattle, Washington, at age 73.
                   40   viii.    Sylvester Alexander Scott.
Sylvester Alexander Scott was born on 25 March 1872.
Sylvester Alexander Scott died on 23 May 1957 at age 85.
Sylvester Alexander Scott was buried at IOOF Riverview Cemetery, Monticello, White Co., Indiana.
                   41     ix.    Henry Madison Scott.
Henry Madison Scott was born on 14 December 1874.
He married Estella May Cartmell on 17 March 1897 at White Co., Indiana.
He died on 11 April 1923 at age 48. The cause of death was an accident.
Henry Madison Scott was buried at River View Cemetery, Monticello, White Co., Indiana.

     18.  Charles Stout3 Healey (Sylvester2, Joshua1) was born on 1 September 1840.  The birthplace may have been at Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada, or it may have been Trout River, Newfoundland, Canada. He married Mary Dixon Parburt, daughter of George Parburt and Frances (--?--), on 11 August 1870 at San Francisco, California.

Mary Dixon Healey was born on 11 August 1880 at California.
She married A. S. Arnold before May 1906.
Mary Dixon Healey died on 24 September 1942 at Alameda Co., California, at age 62.

     20.  Joshua3 Healey (Sylvester2, Joshua1) was born on 18 November 1838 at Hinchinbrook, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada. He was buried at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, Jasper Co., Indiana. The burial was recorded in Book 2, p 87.  He was buried in Sec D, Bl 50, Lot 2, Sp 5.  This lot was owned by Julia Healey.

Carolin Eleanor Healey died on 14 June 1979 at Yreka, Siskiyou Co., California, at age 73.

Joseph Franklin Lyon was born on 20 October 1905 at Delphi, Carroll Co., Indiana.
He married Helen Lollock on 12 May 1925 at Chicago, Illinois.
He married Clay Hoehn in 1940 at Chicago, Illinois.
Joseph Franklin Lyon died on 10 November 1947 at Barstow, San Bernardino Co., California, at age 42.
Joseph Franklin Lyon was buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Delphi, Carroll Co., Indiana.

     97.  George Warren5 Healey (George4, Joshua3, Sylvester2, Joshua1).
George Warren Healey was born on 27 January 1896 at Brookston, White Co., Indiana.
He married Ada Mae Brewer on 22 November 1917 at Hattisburg, Mississippi. They were married on Thanksgiving Day.  He married Mildred H. (--?--) on 25 March 1968 at Palm Springs, California.
George Warren Healey died on 12 February 1995 at Palm Springs, Riverside Co., California, at age 99.
George Warren Healey was buried in February 1995 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale), Glendale, Los Angeles Co., California.

     98.  Vera Voynne5 Healey (George4, Joshua3, Sylvester2, Joshua1).
Vera Voynne Healey was born on 6 June 1898 at Brookston, White Co., Indiana.
She married William Robert Braden, son of Alba Ellsworth Braden and Emily Amina Crane, on 24 February 1923 at Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky.
She died on 7 December 1975 at Turtle Creek Convalescent Center, 55 W. 33rd, Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana, at age 77.  Cause of death was cardio-respiratory failure, metastatic breast carcenoma to lungs and pleura, cerebral thrombosis.
Vera Voynne Healey was buried in December 1975 at Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, Wayne Co., Indiana.

     100.  Adna Julian5 Healey (George4, Joshua3, Sylvester2, Joshua1) was born on 23 December 1905 at 10:15 a.m., Rensselaer, Jasper Co., Indiana. Dr. J. M. Washburn attended the birth.  He weighed 9 lbs.  While most records give his birthdate as December 23, one source gives December 22.  Most evidence seems to indicate the 23rd as the correct date, but the discrepancy should be noted. He married (--?--) (--?--) before 1931.
He married Tommie Knight on 2 May 1932 at Yuma, Arizona.
He died on 9 August 1997 at Mckenzie Willamette Hospital, Eugene, Lane Co., Oregon, at age 91.

     101.  Homer Max5 Healey (George4, Joshua3, Sylvester2, Joshua1).
Homer Max Healey was born on 20 February 1915 at Rensselaer, Jasper Co., Indiana.
Homer Max Healey married Elizabeth Dillon Rea, daughter of Robert Right Rea and Laura Jeanette (--?--), on 29 September 1935 at Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana.
He married Martha (--?--) circa 1988.
He died on 19 January 1990 at 9:50 p.m. at Kings Daughters Hospital, Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana, at age 74; the cause of death was cancer of the lungs and the liver. He was buried in January 1990 at Springdale Cemetery, Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana. Private graveside services were held at Springdale Cemetery.  Max was cremated and buried next to his first wife, Elizabeth.

     104.  Harold M.5 Parker (Bessie4 Makeever, Clara3 Healey, Sylvester2, Joshua1).
Harold M. Parker was born on 18 January 1901.
