Licher and Smith Photos, Part 4

Today I want to post the final batch of pictures obtained from Josephine (Licher) Smith's daughter.

unidentified children - see discussion below
The original of these two photos is the oval one at the top.  The bottom one is a copy and it seems that the negative was reversed.  There is no identification on these pictures.  It looks to me as if the girl is the oldest of the three, the middle boy the middle child, and the right hand boy (in the original picture) is the youngest.

At first I thought they might be Josephine and two of her brothers, but the clothing looks older than ca 1900 (Josephine was born in 1893 and the girl in this photo looks to be about 6), and the birth order and ages of Josephine and her siblings don't really match this picture.

It is possible that the middle boy is Josephine's father, Albert Licher (born 1869).  If it is Albert, then the younger boy is probably his brother, Henry ("Harry") (born 1871).  And if this is the Lichers, then the girl would have to be Sophia Licher, born about 1871 who died in 1879.  The only other Licher sister was Mary, born 1885, who was the youngest child and her birth order and ages of her siblings don't really match the picture.

Another possibility is that these are some of the Fricke children.  Josephine's mother was Anna Gertrude Fricke, born 1871.  The boys could be her brothers:  Benjamin (born 1869) or Joseph (born 1874) or Henry (born 1876).  Since there are some Fricke pictures from Henry's daughter, Elizabeth, in this bunch of photos, it seems possible to me that these are Anna, Joseph, and Henry Fricke.

Here, for comparison, is a picture of Anna (Fricke) Licher taken shortly after her marriage to Albert (in 1892):

Albert Licher, Anna Fricke Licher, John Fricke (Anna's father)

It would be nice to be able to confirm these childrens' identities.
