Please assume that this information comes from secondary sources unless I state otherwise.
So, that said, I'll start with Robert's oldest sister, Elizabeth Braden, and her husband, Bartleson Fox.
Elizabeth Braden's birth date of 8 November 1768 comes from several different secondary sources, but I have found no primary sources for this date. She was the daughter of Joseph Braden and his wife, Sarah Wright. The secondary sources give her birth place as either Loudoun Co., Virginia or Georgetown, Maryland. I think, however, that perhaps the Georgetown referred to Leesburg, since until about 1758 or so, Georgetown was the town's name. While her birth information has not been confirmed by a primary source, she is named as a daughter of Joseph Braden in his will and as a daughter of Sarah (Wright) Braden in her will, so her parentage is confirmed.
She is probably the Elizabeth Braden who witnessed the will of John Carr in Loudoun Co., Virginia on 30 October 1788.
On 11 February 1793, when she was 24 years old, she married Bartleson Fox in Loudoun Co., Virginia. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Littlejohn. Bond was posted by William Fox, Bartleson's brother, who was married to Elizabeth's sister, Mary.
Bartleson Fox was the son of James Fox and Mary Bartleson. He was born 10 January 1768 but the location is not known.
On 13 Sept 1790, a power of attorney was recorded at the court in Loudoun Co., VA giving power of attorney to "friend and father" James Fox by Lewis Foreman, Dennis Bradley, William Scott, William Fox, James Fox Jr., and Baitleson (Bartleson) Fox of Loudoun. The power of attorney was to allow James Fox to sue Henry Baitleson (Bartleson) by virtue of the will of Baitle (Bartle) Bartleson dec'd. It was witnessed by George Bastable and Daniel Sanford. Bartle Bartleson was the father of Mary Bartleson Fox, and so the maternal grandfather of Bartleson Fox.
The 1791 tithables list for Loudoun Co., Virginia, shows "Bartlett" Fox (probably Bartleson) with Joseph Braden (father of Elizabeth) in the "Third Battalion." So Bartleson was involved with the Bradens before his marriage to Elizabeth.
The first child of Bartleson and Elizabeth was a daughter, Mary Fox, born 2 February 1794, probably in Loudoun Co., Virginia. I suspect she was named for Bartleson's mother, Mary.
The next child was daughter, Sarah, born 3 July 1796, and probably named for Elizabeth's mother, Sarah (Wright) Braden.
Other children (all probably born in Loudoun Co., Virginia) were: Pamela Andrews Fox born 10 October 1798; Joseph Braden Fox born 5 December 1800 and probably named for his maternal grandfather; William Parkinson (or Parkerson) Fox born 11 June 1803; Elizabeth Fox born 6 October 1805; and Delilah Braden Fox born in 1807.
Elizabeth Fox was mentioned as one of his daughters in the will of Joseph Braden signed 27 February 1810.
Sometime before 1815, Bartleson and Elizabeth moved to Georgetown (now part of Washington, D.C.). Bartleson wrote a will there on 27 December 1815. He died in Georgetown on 6 January 1816 and his will was probated there on 23 January 1816. Bartleson was 47 years old.
A transcription of his will follows:
"Bartleson Fox's Will Exhibilea and prerea[?] 23rd January 1816. Sellers Testamentary Issued 23rd Jan & 1816 Registered in Will Book N.D folio 3 of 4:
