So. The first generation that we know about, James Duncan & Elizabeth McKee, started their family in Pennsylvania but moved to Madison Co., Illinois shortly before their deaths. Daughters Amanda & Emily moved around with their husbands before ending up in California, where they died without issue. Daughter Anne Marie and son John William went to Kentucky where they married. John William died there; Anne Marie also ended up in California where she died.
Anne Marie's children went to California with their parents. John William's children that lived to adulthood were Agnes, Mary Margaret, and Joseph Holt. Agnes seems to have left Kentucky first, spending some time in Missouri before settling in Kansas. Mary Margaret's family settled for awhile in Indiana before following her sister, Agnes, to Kansas. Joseph Holt left Kentucky for Indiana, where he settled and died.
Not sure that I uncovered any new clues, but it was an interesting exercise.
