Evan Morgan Jones, son of Evan William Jones and his wife, Harriet Roberts, was born 28 June 1858 in Neenah, Wisconsin. He married Margaret Anna Williams on 20 May 1886 in Neenah. In March 1887, they moved to Hankinson, North Dakota. Evan was the local sheriff and was shot while on duty and died 7 April 1917.
Evan and Margaret had three daughters:
Catherine H. born 9 August 1888. Called "Catha" by the family. I have not found a marriage or death for Catha.

Rebecca Eleanor, born 27 December 1891; called "Reba" by the family. Married David L. Rempel before 1917. Died 16 January 1988 in Oregon.
