John Littlejohn (1756-1836) was a long-time
Methodist preacher, sheriff & justice of Loudoun Co., Virginia. During the War of 1812, he was entrusted with
the safekeeping of important federal documents, including the Declaration of
Independence, when the British burned the Capital.[3]
He was born in England and died in Kentucky, where he is buried.
During the course of my research in Loudoun Co., I have collected a long list of marriages that Rev. Littlejohn performed there.
